Who I am & My Story
I had all the things you could dream of....a successful business, my photography took off and I was doing everything I dreamed of as a photographer : photographing dream weddings and families, being booked by loving and trusting clients, pricing myself exactly where I wanted to with a waiting list pages and pages long, creating what I wanted, and I started teaching and mentoring other photographers.
But the truth is....I was miserable. Don’t get me wrong, I loved what I was doing. But I was so, so busy. I had no time for my family, my friends, my hobbies, or my mental health. I was absolutely drained working 70+ hour work weeks consistently, only living for a Sunday where I wasn't even able to be present with my family because I was so checked out and tired. I wasn't truly happy and I was getting incredibly burnt out. I knew if I kept on that path I wouldn’t be able to sustain photography as my income anymore. I didn’t want to lose my passion, but I didn’t want to lose what I worked so hard to create, but I felt SO torn between choosing my family or my photography career.

even though I loved what I was doing. Something needed to change or I was going to break..
I felt like I was at a cross road: either work really really hard now so I don’t have to work later on, or work until I was able to retire in my sixties.
I didn't think there was another way. My income was based on my time and energy. If I wasn't working, I wasn't earning. This is the downside of being a service based business...you only make money while you are putting in the time and energy.
I was looking for another way to earn an income from home, where I wasn't trading time for money. I tried it all, network marketing, cold messaging people, bugging friends and family, all for side hustles that taught me exactly what NOT to do. So, I took a couple of courses about digital marketing, creating digital products, and using social media. So I started there. I created my own presets, guides, and started selling the courses I invested in (massive benefit to affiliate marketing).
At the time, I had a pretty tiny audience wanting to actually learn from me. I did minimal marketing or prep work, mostly just sending what I was offering to my small email list and doing a couple instagram posts about it.
